Sacred Structure Healing Center
Almost all integrous religious and mystical traditions teach that the human being (as body, mind, and spirit) is a sacred entity to be treated with the highest respect, honor, and love. As sacred beings, humans are understood to be divine and healthy just by their very existence. At Sacred Structure, we acknowledge and foster the divinity and health of human beings through holistic medical practices.
Holistic medical practices include osteopathic manual therapy, nutritional supplementation, dietary advice, medical fasting, prolotherapy, botanical, and energy medicine. These practices, while holistic, are essentially the best of mainstream medicine as taught in medical textbooks under the names of “wellness,” “lifestyle change,” and “prevention.”
Osteopathic manual therapy is a long-standing American medical practice begun by Dr. A.T. Still in the late 1800′s. Dr. Still developed osteopathic manual therapy after several of his children died of meningitis.
Osteopathic philosophy teaches that “structure” and “function” are interrelated. When applied to human bodies, this concept means that by aligning the “structure” (anatomy) in healthy, sacred ways, humans will experience improved “function” (physiology). Hence, osteopathic manual treatment (OMT) may benefit those with conditions such as back pain, sciatica, headaches, neck injuries, muscle spasms, referred visceral pain, asthma, COPD, edema, or any other physiological condition. At Sacred Structure, osteopathic physicians see the body as a unit and treat the whole person rather than one system or disease.
Nutritional supplementation is necessary for many individuals due to the depletion of nutrients in foods due to cooking, modern agricultural practices, food additives, pesticides, and distance from the ocean. Whenever possible, Sacred Structure recommends concentrated whole food nutritional supplements and live superfoods.
Dietary advice is provided for all clients who desire it. Basing its nutritional approach upon the work of Westin Price, DDS and the Price-Pottenger Foundation, Sacred Structure helps clients eat in a healthful, intuitive, and enjoyable way that is similar to their primitive ancestors and other primates.
Medical fasting is offered to clients as part of a healthy lifestyle and disease (such as diabetes and hypertension) prevention education. Fasting finds its roots in a wide variety of spiritual traditions.
Prolotherapy is a minimally-invasive injectional technique that assists with the strengthening of ligaments in the ankle, back, neck, knee, arm, foot, and hip. By strengthening certain ligaments, clients can often suspend invasive surgeries such as hip, knee replacements or ankle surgeries. Prolotherapy can even be curative for small inguinal or umbilical hernias. Prolotherapy is practiced in the style of Kent Pomeroy, M.D. of Phoenix, AZ.
Botanical medicine is simply the appropriate, intelligent use of herbal therapies to assist with human ailments. Some examples of these therapies include herbals that assist with heavy metal removal, detoxification, energy, and vitality. Sacred Structure selects such herbal therapies by combining intuition with support from scientific empiricism.
Energetic medicine includes various array of healing modalities such as faith healing, shamanic work, Reiki, BodyTalk, Healing Touch, Quantum Touch, and Matrix Energetics. These types of healing systems work closely with the body’s innate wisdom, magnetic energy fields, and spiritual nature. Sacred Structure offers the type of energetic healing that matches the patient’s highest healing pathway.
At Sacred Structure, we offer simple medical practices that support the optimal physiology and anatomy of the sacred human body, mind, and spirit.
